"Let's Go Back To 1986!"
I have discussed prior how much one of my favourite memories was actually going to the theater when the original Transformers movie opened in 1986. As a kid I had little to nomoney pretty much all the time, so I couldn't afford many of the action figures that were released. Well, fast forward 35 years (geez, has it really been that long?), and each character from the movie has been redesigned in much more detail and articulation, so seeing as how I hve a bit more money then I did when I was 12, I have picked up two of them so far:
Jazz!! I really enjoyed the original design back in 1984 and this one does not disappoint. He didn't have much of a role in the movie as he was soon killed off, along with pretty much the entire G1 class to, as Hasbro subtly put it, "make room for a new class of toys". Doesn't mean the hurt wasn't real though.
Hot Rod! I picked up a Rodimus Prime around 15 years ago under the category Robots In Disguise, but in the packaging, he is in vehicle mode. Now he has been re-issued in robot mode. You could say I have the best of both worlds. Still dying to open them up and mess with them, but I know if I do, there will be no going back. I'm not dramatic or anything, I just feel that the slightest error or mistake could be the ultimate ruin of mankind.
